To Monetize or Not?

I've been toying with the idea of monetizing my blog by writing paid posts, just like other bloggers. They say, if you are diligent, you can earn substantial income from writing sponsored posts. But one thing is preventing me from doing so...I'm a bit hesitant to mix paid posts with my regular posts. Silly isn't it? I mean everyone is doing it and here I am, hesitating for some wierd silly reason.

Tell me, what do you think of blogs with paid posts?

I don't do paid posts but have ads on my site though. I want full control of my content kasi. You're not alone not wanting regular posts and paid posts on the same page. Truthfully, when I read that it reads like a paid post, I stop reading.

@ Em,
I aslo skip paid posts :) and I might lose my readers if they don't like paid posts :)

@ Kengkay,
With all due respect to our blog friends doing paid posts...It turns me off too that's why I'm hesitant.

As a SAHM, the extra money is a big help.

@Rachel,

Thanks for dropping by. The reason I'm thinking of monetizing is to earn extra money. My annual vacation to the Philippines is eating a large portion of my savings.

actually, am thinking of opening a domain with paid post din to pay for vacations, so kaplastikan din na maturn off ako esp kung am planning to do it too... hay buhay. hirap ng choices ano? so go and do it, basta alam mong marami would simply skip it at least you earn, di ba

@kengkay,
I think we're on the same boat. Actually, may isang blog ako - all about qatar - balak ko i-monetize kaso itong original blog ko ang matagal na at mataas ang PR kaya mas okay kung ito. Hay ewan ko ba. Meron daw iba ang ginagawa they write for other blogs so mas okay ata yun at least not in your blog...try that... ako kasi feeling ko di ako pwede dun - di ako masyado magaling magsulat eh...

But there are some bloggers who are able to incorporate their own content into paid posts. It does not read at all like one. Cookie is one of them. Check out this example. As long as it's well written and does not deviate too much from the blog, I think it should be alright.

tried that, too, but havent gotten anything yet, hahaha.
