One of the things I've always wanted to learn is baking. Finally, in 2005, I attended some of Heny Sison's short courses. I enjoy baking. Perhaps, it's because baking is much like a chemistry experiment and I love chemistry! Like a lab experiment, baking requires exact measurement of ingredients, proper mixing and proper oven temperature in order to yield a fantastic product!
clockwise: chocolate chips, chocolate crinkles, oatmeal and peanut butter cookies
Since I've been busy the whole year and I didn't bake much, I made up for it this holiday season. I baked four (4) types of cookies and two (2) recipes each. I brought some to our Office and shared some to our friends. Everybody loved it. The favorites are choco chips and choco crinkles, which are my personal favorites too. By the way, I found out that choco chips cookies have interesting history.
While I love baking, and I get inspired with all the praises I receive, it's a bit time consuming to prepare the ingredients and to clean the utensils used (hehehehe!!!) so I guess the next cookies overload will not be soon.
What is your favorite cookie?

I could just imagine the smell of those freshly baked goodies.
I love cooking and baking myself. I find it very therapeutic. Those cookies really look yummy. Good thing Heny Sison didn't put you to sleep!
Thanks for visiting A Pinay In England. Happy 2009!
